Affirmations are great tools that can help you overcome fear, build your confidence, develop an abundance mind-set and more. The problem is that many people aren’t sure exactly how to write effective affirmations. Do they always have to be in present tense? Can they contain “negative” words like can’t, won’t, not, and so on?

There are plenty of differing opinions on the right and wrong ways to write effective affirmations, but the bottom line is that an affirmation can be considered effective if it works for YOU! The whole point of affirmations is to shift your thoughts and emotions to a more positive place so you feel more confident, happy, secure, abundant, or anything else you’re trying to accomplish.

Take a look at the sample affirmations below for starters and feel free to use them if they resonate with you. If not, try altering them slightly until they trigger the mind-set and emotional state you’re trying to attain.

3, Read at least 10 Blogs a Day and comment on them, this will give you material for what you want to blog about.

4. What does this have to do with Twitter? You have to do the opposite of what everyone else is doing on TWITTER “SELLING”

You want to be the person with the Blog with valuable info on Your niche, either marketing, network Marketing, keywords,Facebook,Social Media. Pick one. So when you want lots of traffic, make sure you are adding value to yourself and solving PROBLEMS.

Being a leader isn’t gained by election or appointment, and having a position, title rank or degrees doesn’t qualify anyone to lead other people. No one can be given the right to lead, it can only be earned, and that takes time. It takes time to be worthy of followers. What It Takes to Make It

People often ask what it takes to be successful in Network Marketing. I have a short, simple answer…

All you got.

Fortunately it doesn’t take more than all you got. But it does take all you got. In fact, I’ll suggest this business will be the hardest one you’ll ever do, period.

And I’m qualified to make that statement. I’ve been president of the Chamber of Commerce, worked in the corporate world, run distribution companies, managed medical centers, launched HMO’s, started restaurants & clubs, Internet marketing, information entrepreneur, owned a hairstyling salon, and published a magazine. I’ve consulted with literally hundreds of other entrepreneurs in all kinds of businesses. And can assure you, Network Marketing is harder than all of them!

Why?

Quite a few reasons. First, the essence of the business is leadership development. Not an easy thing to learn. Or teach. This takes tremendous people skills.

Because of that, MLM requires large amounts of personal growth and self-development. And working on yourself is tough work!

Other businesses you can get by on just skill, just talent or just money. Here you need heart. Guts. And love.

With Network Marketing, you have to go all in. You can start it part-time, you can start it with a limited commitment, you can start it not even believing it will work.

But to succeed at it, at some point you’ll have to move from kindergarten to the big leagues. You’ll have to go from a night or two a week, to four or five nights a week. You’ll have to commit and you’ll have to develop belief.

Here’s why…

You can’t really get anyone into our business. It doesn’t work that way. You can only commit, develop that belief and become so passionate that people want to be a part of what you’re doing.

MLM is like golf. The only person you compete with is yourself. The enemy isn’t other companies. It’s not negative prospects. And it’s not government regulation, high prices, or backorders. The real enemy is your doubts and fears. It’s what’s between your ears.

Most people today doubt their beliefs and believe their doubts. You have to be different. And that means daily self-development. Keeping your dream in front of you. And making sure your dream is bigger than your fears.

Yeah, you can probably win a free cruise, get a bonus car and rake in some nice bonus checks. That would probably motivate you to go to a job every day. That would probably motivate you to do any one of those other businesses I named. But it’s probably not enough to get you to do Network Marketing.

Because our business is a lot tougher than those. Our business means contacting prospects, driving to work with long distance lines, and sacrificing lots of pleasures early on for the long term. It means really getting out of your comfort zone and growing.

So your dream has to be even bigger. It has to include other people’s dreams. Taking your eyes off of just yourself and looking how you can contribute in a meaningful way.

It’s going to mean facing rejection and maybe ridicule. Facing your fears. Dealing with dropouts and no shows. Negative publicity, misperceptions, and adversity.

We know every adversity has in it the seeds of a greater opportunity. But that opportunity is not automatic! It is there only if you make a conscious choice not to be a victim; a conscious choice to learn the lesson and find a new door to walk through. And remember, every room has a door.

Network Marketing is HARD. So why do it?

Because it will be the most rewarding business you ever do in your life. Yes it can give you those trips, car and bonus checks; it can get you free. But it also does so much more…

The confidence you develop, the skills you learn, the satisfaction you gain are priceless. Who you have to become to be successful in our business makes it all worth it.

And the joy that can only come from contribution…

When your new team member calls you screaming with excitement because they’ve sponsored their first person. The breakthroughs you witness when someone buys their first suit, makes their first presentation, or calls that prospect that scares them beyond measure. When one of your people conquers their fear in any way, it will bring you rewards you can’t get anywhere else.

In our business you reach success by helping other people reach success. That is what gets you up at 6 am to do self-development, that is what gets you to pick up the phone, that is what keeps you awake driving home at 2 am from a meeting for a new person on your tenth level.

So yeah, it doesn’t take more than you got. But it does take all you got. Just know it’s worth it.

So find someone you respect and make them a promise that you will do what it takes to win. Ask them to hold you accountable. Then make yourself the same promise. After that, make a public declaration below in the comments. Are you up for that?

7 Ways to Use Business Cards to Network and Market Your Business

You just had the finest, most eye-catching business cards. Now, what do you do with them? Networking with business cards is one of the most cost-effective means of marketing your business -- and yourself.

Don't leave them sitting in the box, they do you no good there. Get them into the hands of your prospects! If you think of your business card as a mini-billboard for your company, you'll realize that you need people to see it, in order for it to be effective. Here are a few ideas to get you started...

1) Keep them in your pocket, purse, briefcase, wallet, on your desk, and in the reception area of your office

Leave some in your car. Always have them on hand so you can introduce yourself to new people when the moment is right. They should be a necessary part of your routine before you leave home every day. When checking for your wallet and keys, check for a stack of business cards too. Keep replenishing your supply.

2) Store your cards in a nice holder so they don't get bent

Keeping your cards in a stylish business card case makes for a better presentation when you hand your cards out. Likewise, treat others' cards well when you accept them. For example, spend a few moments reading the card closely before you put it away. You won't impress the person by mishandling their business card. If your contact information should change, have new cards printed immediately. Writing in your new email address or phone number leaves a bad impression.

3) Place business cards on bulletin boards at local restaurants, supermarkets, libraries, and your children's schools

At your place of business, have a bulletin board where others can post their cards in return for passing out your cards to others. If you see a fishbowl offering a drawing for a prize, throw your business card in. Somebody important might see it and contact you.

4) Include business cards with all of your correspondence; including bills you pay

You never know who might open the mail that day. If realtors can sell houses this way, why can't you generate business the same way? If you ship products, for example, include a card with every package. Send business cards with all thank-you notes and letters you send out. Include your contact information in your email signature as well. It serves as an electronic business card.

5) Use them as scrap paper when you need to jot down a note

Instead of a napkin, use the back of your business card to write in your cell phone number. "This is my direct line," you might say, making the prospect feel important and giving him or her a reason to keep your card.

6) Give people a reason to hold on to your card

Print something unique on the back of it--a calendar, a list of your services, important measurements, or anything relevant to your industry.

7) Use your business cards to introduce yourself to prospects you meet at networking functions, in the park or at your children's soccer games.

However, don't be pushy. Make sure the time is appropriate. One way to do this is to ask for the other person's card. He or she will likely ask you for your card in return. Another idea is to hand out two or three cards at a time--one for the person you meet, and extras for him or her to hand out to referrals. (Offering to do the same would be the polite thing to do here). When you go to the doctor or dentist, present your card to the receptionist to announce your presence.

Leaving your business cards to sit in a box or a drawer collecting dust defeats the purpose of having them. They are inexpensive enough to print by the thousands, so hand them out liberally. It's a cost-effective way to market yourself and your business.

Our studies of high achievers have shown that no matter how different their personalities, work habits, occupations or gender, the people who accomplish great things in life have visualized and expected success all along. They’ve had the ability to vividly picture their achievements and to reassure themselves in the face of long odds that they would come through.

To visualize the person you want most to become, set aside some time this week in which you can create an atmosphere conducive to re-affirming your life dreams. You may want to be near the ocean, or a lake, or in a park, in a garden or in the woods. Or you might just sit quietly by yourself in a comfortable lounge or chair. Get yourself in the mood for visualizing. When the left hemisphere of the brain is quiet and relaxed, the mind is most receptive to creative inputs. To facilitate this you may want to use soothing recorded music, preferably slow and inspiring like Bach, Handel or Vivaldi if you like classical music, or soft, popular instrumentals from epic movies or other mood music.

Once you’re properly relaxed and optimistic, let your mind focus on who you really want to become. Visualize the future in two time frames: five years from now and ten years from now. First, design a day in your life five years from now. Who are you five years from now? Where are you professionally and geographically? On Monday mornings, where do you go?

What are you doing, seeing, feeling and thinking? Who are the people around you? What’s different about your life five years from now?

Next, project ahead ten years from today. Picture a film of your life at that time. Who is watching it with you? What dramatic moments are depicted by that film? What personal triumphs are revealed? What obstacles are courageously overcome?

Don’t be shy! The purpose of this exercise is to load visualized software in your mental computer. Just as a computer must be configured to accept specific materials, your mind must be prepared to accept the reality of your greater success. By introducing positive images of goal achievement, you’re preparing yourself to translate those goals into reality.

I especially like to visualize myself being introduced at a dinner in my honor. Maybe it’s the Coaches’ Hall of Fame! Don’t laugh! It could happen! The emcee comes to the microphone and reads the highlights of my life and adds some insights as to who I really am. What would the emcee be saying about you if such a dinner were held in your honor ten years from now? Devote a page in your journal to describing the things you would want said about you.

Every four years we see those five brilliant, interlocking Olympic rings on flags and in television and billboard advertising globally. The Olympic Games are where the best in the world go for the gold and the few stand, listening to their national anthem, in the coveted winner’s circle. If the five Olympic rings were attitudes of champions in every profession, these five attitudes would be prominent in the mindset of the peak performer:

Paying the Price. Everyone wants to win, but few are willing to invest the time and effort. Paying the price means focusing on developing the skills and training regimen of champions—observation, imitation, repetition and the internalization of knowledge into habits; also, learning why and how to go the extra mile and seeing success as a marathon, not a dash. Champions view failures as temporary inconveniences and learning experiences.

The Olympian Within. Winners believe in their worth in advance of their performance. Most people base their worth on their current status or achievement level, which means that until they are judged successful by society’s standards, they have little to be proud of. Champions believe in their dreams when they have only a dream to hang on to, even in the face of criticism and superior achievements by others.

Non-situational Integrity. Authentic, lasting winners have an uncompromising attitude about self-honesty. They function according to an “integrity triangle,” consisting of three basic questions: (a) Are my beliefs based upon truth? (b) Do my words and actions correspond with truth and honesty? (c) Before I speak or act, do I honestly consider the impact of my decision on other people and the environment?

The “Coachability” Factor. Champions are always open to alternatives to improve their performance. Consistent winners are not the arrogant egotists who dominate the media spotlight. The most successful individuals in the game of life are often the most approachable, most gracious, least judgmental of others and most critical of their own performances, as well as most eager to learn and improve.

Being a Team Player. A team in harmony is synergy in motion, where the whole is greater than the sum of the individual talents. When all assignments are understood, when each takes 100 percent responsibility for the outcome, a quantum leap in performance takes place. Winners learn how to become interdependent—without sacrificing individuality—and how to stand out, while fitting in.

1. You must be coachable

You must be able to follow instructions. You must be able to take step by step directions from your mentor or your sponsor, and listen to their instructions on what got them to be successful. Just like a football team, has to be led by coach, and be willing to follow his instructions for them to win their game.

2. You must be part of a team

For you to belong to a team or a mastermind group is vital for your success in network marketing. You are surrounded and bombarded by negativity and you need to come to a place where you get together with positive, like minded people, who all want more out of life, then what they have right now. It is important to work with a team of people, not necessarily just your upline.

3. You must be building a 5 Pillar Company

a) Company Management Experience with Integrity

* Read your policies and procedures.
* Look for the words "termination" and "ongoing"
* Find out, how safe you are, how your downline is protected,
and whether you can ever retire.
* Check reliable websites like http://mlmwatchdog.com for warnings.

b) Timing in the company/Timing in the Industry

* Beware of "ground floor opportuniies" and start-up companies.
* 99% of companies don't last two years.
* Most people don't make money in the first two years, while the
company is dealing with problems. Profit comes AFTER two years.
Join then.

c) Remarkable Product

* Be sure your product is unique.
* The product should sell without a business opportunity attached to it.
* If you can't pay online with a credit card, and if you can only pay by
cash or money order, it is ILLEGAL.

d) Compensation Plan that pays Part-Timers

* 95% of networkers are part-time
* Make sure that people can make a decent income working a few
hours per week.
* Ask the question, "How many people must I have in my business to earn
$10,00.00 per month?
* If a company stresses "Recruit, recruit, recruit" you shoud
Run, Run, Run.
* If you are making only 5%-8% commissions, you are being extremely
underpaid.

e) System for Success

* The company must have a duplicatable system for success.
* People are not duplicatable - systems are.
* If you have to rely on upline doing presentation, this is NOT
duplicatable.

4. Duplicatable System

For you to be successful in network marketing, it is vital that you belong to duplicatable system. A system that anyone and everyone can use, just like following a recipe, a step by step system that can be followed by the average person.
A “proven” duplicatable system that allows part-time people to create a significant royality income and full-time people to create an extraordinary royalty income.

5. Be a Student of the Industry

Just like anything else you would want to be , a doctor, or a carpenter, lawyer, you would need to be educated to be successful in that field. Network Marketing is no different, you will need to be educated and taught the skills to be successful in network marketing. That is why 98% are failing today, they are recruited and left to contact friends and family, or go buy leads. They are not taught the skills they need, like how to call leads, how to read compensation plans, to know how many people do you need in your business to make $10,000.00, you wouldn’t go and get a job and not know how much you were going to be paid, but we blindly go into our network marketing businesses, somehow trusting we will get a check.

6. Self-Development - Work on Yourself

You have to work twice as hard on yourself as you do your business. My Mentor, Michael Dlouhy, says that Network Marketing is personal development with a compensation plan. You have to become more to make more. You have to become the person you were meant to be, to attract the people you need to build your business. Most of us have negative programing from our parents, piers in school, coaches, teachers, and even churches, so we have to get plugged into mastermind groups, read personal development books, listen to audios, to change our programming, to learn how to think and not what to think, to believe we deserve success, to believe we are perfect just the way we are to do this business. Why would anyone want to be a Network Marketer?

There are two types of income in the world, linear income and recurring income but only linear income will give you freedom, and let you own your life.

The first type of income is linear income and it continues only as long as you continue the work. It’s when you trade time for money. If you are like most people , you have to work for a living, and if you don’t work, you don’t get paid.

If you are a surgeon, you get paid whenever you perform a surgery; don’t perform a surgery, you don’t get paid. If you are a construction, worker, you get paid when you work, you don’t work for the next 12 months, and chances are your employer is not going to pay you. If you drive a bus, you get paid when you drive, you quit driving buses, you quit getting paid. When you stop working, your income stops.
That’s how linear income works. You receive income when you work. When you stop working, the income stops coming.

Recurring income, or you can call it , royalty income, passive or residual income is different. To describe recurring income is that by doing something right just one time, you get paid over and over again for what you did.

Understand the difference between linear and recurring bills?

A linear bill, would be purchasing a stereo system, or television, one payment and it last for several years. Recurring bills are the bills you get every month, like the telephone, mortgage payments , car payments. Would it be okay with you, if you had a recurring income to handle those recurring bills?

For example, Elvis Presley recorded “Love Me Tender” in 1956. Every time it plays on the radio somewhere in the world, Lisa Marie gets a little royalty. Even though Elvis recorded that song over 50 years ago, every month Lisa Marie receives a royalty check from people who play his music. Elvis did it right one time and now Lisa Marie collects every month.

Your Business must have 5 pillars for Success

Here are several questions to ask before you choose
a Network Markting Company to work with for the next
five or ten or twenty years. Your future and your reputation
are at stake. Getting the answers to these questions will
save you years of failure and frustration.

1. Company Management Experience with Integrity

Read your Policies and Procedures. Look for the words
"termination" and "ongoing". Find out how safe you are,
how your downline is protected, and whether you can ever retire.
Rule of Thumb: The longer the contract, the more
overhead the company has, and the less you earn.

Do a Google search on the company and the owners
of the company you are researching. Add the word
'scam' to your search. Check reliable websites like
http://www.mlmwatchdog.com for warnings.

2. Timing in the Company / Timing in the Industry

Beware of "ground floor opportunities" and start-up
companies. 99% of companies don't last two years.
Most people don't make money in the first two years
while the company is dealing with problems.

Profit comes AFTER two years. Join then.

3. Remarkable Product

Be sure your product is unique - not invisible among others.
Warning: If the product would not sell without a business
opportunity attached, it is ILLEGAL.

If you can't pay online with a credit card, and if you can
only pay by cash or money order, it is ILLEGAL.

4. Compensation Plan That Pays Part-Timers

95% of networkers are part-time. Make sure that people
can make a decent income working a few hours per week.

Beware of companies that advertise how many millionaires
they have created. Make sure it's not at the expense of
those "at the bottom". Everyone should be able to benefit.

Ask the question "How many people must I have in my
business to earn $10,000 per month?" There are companies
out there that require as many as 10,000 and as few as 400.

It's not unusual to see well-established companies that
require 3000 to 7000 people, and still attract new distributors.

If a company stresses "Recruit, Recruit, Recruit!",
you should "Run, Run, Run!"

If you are making only 5% to 8% commissions, you are
being extremely underpaid.

5. System for Success

The company must have a duplicatable system for success.
People are not duplicatable - systems are.
If you have to rely on upline doing presentations,
this is NOT duplicatable. 97% network marketers fail
the first year because they don't have a proven, duplicatable
system.
